On Thursday, December 15, 2011, Jana Svatava Brightwell, age 61, died peacfully with her loving family by her side at her Bethesda, MD home. Born in North Carolina June 7, 1950, to the late Elmer and Svatava Crowl. Beloved wife of David R. Brightwell of Bethesda, MD; devoted mother of Ashley M. Brightwell of New York, NY and sister of Peter Crowl of Pensacola, FL. She will also be missed by countless friends and her coworkers at the National Library of Medicine, National Institutes of Health.

Friends will be received on Thursday, December 22, 2011
at 9:00 a.m. untill 9:30 a.m.
when a Memorial Mass will be offered at
